هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ
“They (your wives) are your garment and you are a garment for them.” [Noble Quran 2:187]
Considering the fact that before the advent of Islam the pagan Arabs used to bury their female children alive, make women dance naked in the vicinity of the Ka’bah during their annual fairs, and treat women as mere chattels and objects of sexual pleasure possessing no rights or position whatsoever, these teachings of the Noble Quran were revolutionary. Unlike other religions, which regarded women as being possessed of inherent sin and wickedness and men as being possessed of inherent virtue and nobility, Islam regards men and women as being of the same essence created from a single soul. The Quran declares:
“O mankind! Reverence your Guardian-Lord, who created you from a single person, created, of like nature, his mate, and from this pair scattered (like seeds) countless men and women. Reverence Allah, through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and reverence the wombs (that bore you); for Allah ever watches over you.” [Noble Quran 4:1]
The Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Women are the twin halves of men.” The Quran emphasizes the essential unity of men and women in a most beautiful simile:
What is Hijaab?
The Question of Hijab: Suppression Or Liberation?
“Why do Muslim women have to cover their heads?” This question is one which is asked by Muslim and non-Muslim alike. For many women it is the truest test of being a Muslim.
The answer to the question is very simple – Muslim women observe HIJAB (covering the head and the body) because Allah has told them to do so.
“O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters and the believing women to draw their outer garments around them (when they go out or are among men). That is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims) and not annoyed…” [Noble Quran 33:59]
Short Story of A Mufti in a Flight
Why Muslims Teaches Women To Cover Their Body With Burqa
A Mufti Sat Next To a Reverend On A Flight.
The Rev Asked The Mufti:
What is Your Occupation ????
Mufti: I’m into Big Business
Rev: But What Business Exactly ????
Mufti: I Deal With God
Rev: So You’re A Muslim Religious Leader.. I Have One Problem With You Muslims:
You Oppress Your Women.
Mufti: How Do We Oppress Women ???
Rev: You Make Your Women Cover Up Completely And You Keep Them in The Homes.
Mufti: I Have A Problem With You People: You Oppress MONEY.
Rev: What ???? How Can One Oppress Money ?????
Mufti: You Keep Your Money Hidden Away,
in Wallets, Banks And Safes.
You Keep It Covered Up.
Why Don’t You Display It In Public If It’s A Beautiful Thing
Rev: It Will Get Stolen, Obviously.
Mufti: You Keep Your Money Hidden Because It Is So Valuable.
We Value The True Worth Of Women Far, Far More.
Therefore, These Precious Jewels Are Not On Display To One And All.
They Are Kept In Honor And Dignity.
Thanks Allah For making us Muslims
And if a woman cover her body, that means she is making safe herself because no one among us wants to show off his/her precious things for example gold, money, diamonds etc because we believe if they are showed off, some one will snatches and theft it. same is the case with Sisters, they are precious then gold, money and diamonds if they showed off their beauty, they she will be poluted and her beauty will be wasted in unknow persons. if she saved herself Like HAZRAT FATIMAH, RUQIYA, UMM-E-KULSUM, ZAYNAB, KHATIJAH, AISHA, HAFSAH (RADI-ALLAHUNA AJMA’EEN), Then they will be with them (sahabiyaat) on the day of Qayamah (as mentioned in a hadith that one who loves anybody will be with him on the day of qayamah, and the logic of love is to follow him/her)
Books for Sisters
Sometimes some questions are so private that we shy to ask them directly to any Scholar or Shaykh, for this purpose Hazrat Molana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (R.A) has compiled a book ” Bahishti Zewar” in which sisters will get almost all answers which they wanted to ask any Mufti. But remember we are still depend on Scholars and Shaykh’s to clear any Fiqh related question.
